What do your f/o's hugs feel like? theyre very warm and soft. . but theyre firm so you know he's got you, cos once he's got you, he's keeping you forever :)) or until the colonel tells him to get back to work. . his coat makes them swallow you, but his sweater is also nice to bury in. He's not chonky or anything, but he is perfect between fit and still a little soft on his tum that he is very good for one to love on :0

What are your favorite dates to have with them? the ones where we find a nice spot to cuddle out below the dark nighttime, then we just talk for a while together of different things. . of those he worked with in the war, of his family. . or i get to tell him how he was my favorite soldier and i love himbb ~v~ <33 or get to give him kisses on the forest floor until he is a puddle of soft man for holding so then he just lets me hold him and mess with his hair while he lays there. . uvu

He would like going to theatres i think. . little romantic things that arent overly elaborate or extravagant normally, something sweet or fun, but he does very much like to take s/i 1 to the big fancy places every once in a while that he used to show at in London just to get her excited cos she's not seen things like that before.

Do you have any songs that remind you of them? Do they have any songs that make them think of you? i have a couple. . ignoring the ones from the hogans heroes vinyl ive got, cos those would count of course, uhmm. . probably Roy Orbison version of "Oh, Pretty Woman." the vibe is very mutual between he and s/i 1 i think. . and s/i 1 makes her own version one time thats more like "Oh, Pretty Soldier" for them to listen to for the entertainment for the barracks one night. theres a whole thing for them getting her to open to them and give little songs for them. they dont force her, tho. oh pretty soldier is very much about newkirk. . the others know for a long time that she bonded to him, tho newkirk probably catches onto it cos she just looks at him with very big round eyes when she's singing on the table, but s/i 1 is very much hoping he doesnt know or doesnt go to find out. . cos too nervous to tell him those things.

What's the height difference between you and your f/o? Newkirk is 5'9". I'm 5'4" to 5'5" or so myself, but s/i stayed at 5'3" so there's not much of a difference either way. Only. . 6 inches give or take between them, though he is taller no matter what. hebefgj 🖤

On a 1-10 scale, with 1 being the least and 10 being the most, how much do they like PDA with you? 7.5/10 :0 he isnt exactly overly public about things, but he has no problem with getting kisses when he's going out!! he loves kisses too much to say no to them anywhere or anytime. -v-

What do you think they smell like? ignoring prison camp smell?? uhh- on a good day in the barracks where he's out of the shower, he just smells like clean laundry and whatever soap they can smuggle in with a faint, clean scent the other soldiers or germans wont notice to get suspicious of them. i would imagine he likes to wear good colognes. . i dont really know how to explain smells very well, but that would moreso be when he was at home or after the war when he can start dressing nice and keeping himself in better shape for his magic act he gets back into and things. he probably didnt get very heavy or deep scents, probably just light or vibrant things that caught one's attention in a nice way.

What is your f/os biggest love languages? They don't have to be one of the "five", it can be anything specific they use to show you love. he is very physical, he loves the hugs and cuddles and kisses, but he also does things for s/i 1 to entertain her. he likes to get her to laugh and smile, he knows her favorite tricks to do :0

Do you guys sleep in the same bed? If so, what's it like sleeping with them? s/i 1 and newkirk do sometimes sneak her into the barracks together and they sleep together. . they hide her in the blankets when schultz comes in to get the soldiers up (schultz doesnt know she's there- or he pretends he doesnt.)

What's your favorite headcanon about your f/o? that is hardd. . i like lots of things about him :0 one of my favorite things is actually canon and thats just that he used to work in the circus or be a magician before the war. i also think its very cute how much he likes kisses and will do just about anything for them uvu

What is the dynamic that you and your f/o have? this is where im not sure how to respond cos i usually think of uhh the. . spicy. . things. . but he like most of the f/os ive got tends to lead or take care of. Peter tho, is more like. . flexible. he sometimes gets very soft himself and s/i 1 or me will hold and comfort him a lot, or he just likes to be the one to be held and doted on instead for a while uvu who would not dote on him tho look at that man jkdf. . so he is normally soft, but he can be soft lead/care, or soft to hold and little boy-ish for love.

What does your f/o do for you when you're having a rough day? he does magic tricks and cuddles ofgjhdk 🖤 he's very comfort f/o for me. holds hands, murmurs to him cos his voice is very soothing on low volume, sometimes he pulls out props for me to fidget with cos sometimes i forget to bring my own ones. . he does accents for me sometimes or just mutters in his own. he lets me mess with his hair sometimes cos he's soft too. . his whole color palette is very comforting for me tho. .

THERE WERE DREAMS OF THIS TOO FDJSFKS- one time i dreamed he let me sit in his lap while he was talking to someone else, probably Hogan or the others, on one of the bottom bunks. he had me sitting back on him and his hands just. . open in front of me. he was letting me play with them. they were only a bit rough from work, but when you squish them, theyre soft like padded mattress toppers and they were very warm :"0 he let me bop them and hold his fingees and would hold my hands ofgdbk *s o b .* one of my favorite dreams to this day of himb.

What's your favorite silly leisure activity to do with your f/o? s/i 1 will get worms from the tunnels and sneak them into his pockets :)) but every once in a while he just lets her fiddle with his pockets of stuff while he shows her things or she's filling his pockets with dirt to make a worm town in his coat because he's already also dirty from tunneling with her. for me and f/o, he will just lay on or lean on me sometimes while i fiddle with him or we watch something :0 very cuddle buddy f/o.

i am once again thinking about Percy and Annabeth and their respective relationships with their step-parents, particularly how the other views the other's dynamic with their step-parents.

Because there's a really interesting subtle thing that we see which is when Annabeth talks about her step-mom to Percy, Percy's assumption is that Annabeth's step-mom is like Gabe. He just presumes that because that's what's familiar with him and based on his own experiences he assumes their situations are similar.

But then when Percy actually meets Annabeth's step-mom (and her dad) he realizes their situations aren't at all the same. He was expecting another Gabe, but instead he just found a genuinely caring family that was just struggling to find their footing with one another.

The interesting thing is that this implies an inverse - especially with what we know about how Percy and Annabeth describe their experiences. Percy doesn't really talk about Gabe ever. To anyone. Grover knows the whole picture there but he's basically the only one of Percy's friends who does. As far as we know, unless Grover told her at some point, Annabeth doesn't know about Gabe. She knows he was a jerk, but Percy out loud doesn't ever really get into details about it. She knows they didn't get along and eventually Gabe disappeared and Percy basically never spoke of it again. Presumably, Annabeth thinks Percy's dynamic with Gabe was like her dynamic with her step-mom, like how Percy had thought their situations were the same. Especially given we know Percy assumed their situations were the same and likely spoke about it as such if it ever came up.

Like. That's such an interesting tiny aspect of their dynamic that never gets touched upon. Annabeth likely doesn't know about this very core traumatic experience Percy endured before they met because she's operating under the assumption that their family just was a little rocky like hers was.

People joke about ADHD all the time, even swear up and down they totally think they also have it, but then if you ask for an accommodation, to please please please provide things in fucking writing, EXACTLY what they want and need, you will even work it out WITH them, like they promised they would do — repeatedly over and over, and then you don't get it people really will fucking be like:

I am using the incorrect bathroom (TM) to place my shelving and store my things. Homegirl literally removed various sundries and toiletries from a CLOSED CABINET and SHELF because she's interested in boundaries and accountability for my mess.

I said months ago I wanted to improve things for her comfort level and needed a written list of what precisely that fucking looked like in order to achieve it and not miss anything she deemed important. I explained how ADHD works, why I needed a written reference. Why I had to have it laid out, and if something needed changing we needed to write it all out. I would've made the list myself, but they said they would make it for the whole house to hold up their end of things. And, thinking this was a very reasonable adult solution to keeping the house in good shape, I said okay, come up with the list of expectations and what is needed and that way we can update how we handle chores. Awesome. I will do that to uphold my end.

No list ever gets made or drafted or anything despite my bringing it up, knowing we need to do it, but I DO get berated for failing to meet expectations and boundaries that were never fucking provided or delivered and include "don't store toiletries in this particular bathroom because I don't like it."

I can't believe I am a goddamn adult who gets treated like an idiot child for expecting adult communication instead of snide ass passive aggressive bullshit and basic respect for my things.

Because when I fucking get home, my shelving has been removed and a cabinet emptied of my things and placed in the "correct" bathroom.
